In the Marriott International Test Kitchen, the corporate culinary team works with
hotel chefs to develop key program menu items, signature dishes, and food promotions.
All work revolves around Marriott's Cook Smart principles...simple,
fresh chef-crafted food.
"We created this Special K French Toast
to be low in cholesterol and fat, but still delicious! The cereal gives the dish
a great crunch and the berries provide sweetness," Chef Brad Nelson said.
Marriott's Culinary Team and Senior Leadership use the kitchen to view and discuss
the many interpretations of today's food trends and how they are incorporated into
the company's global culinary philosophy.
"The first thing you notice when eating is how the food looks. Stacking the pieces
of French toast makes it look plentiful and the beautiful color of the berries really
makes it stand out," Chef Nelson said.
